NYU Langone Health is conducting a study to help New Yorkers with low income quit smoking.
Participants of this 12-month study will receive smoking cessation coaching and nicotine replacement therapy (patches, gum, lozenges). You may also receive financial coaching and help enrolling in other services (such as housing or food assistance).
If you are eligible and decide to join the study, you can earn up to $125 for completing three surveys over 12 months.
The study is currently open for enrollment.

Meet the Counselors
Ms. Rozon is a licensed mental health counselor in the Section on Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drug Use with extensive experience in health psychology behavioral health research. She has provided counseling intervention to hundreds of patients in various tobacco cessation research studies across NYU Langone, NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, and the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System. Ms. Rozon’s counseling approach is integrative. She utilizes various therapeutic techniques and provides care that is individualized to each participant’s unique experience in their tobacco cessation journey.

George Novillo, MA
Mr. Novillo has been practicing psychotherapy for the past 20 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Purchase and his Master’s degree from New York University. As a therapist, Mr. Novillo has worked with people who experience various issues related to their mental health and specifically with those struggling with substance use. His goal is to help people acquire the tools they need to live happier and more fulfilled lives.
